I don’t know what the next year holds. It may be a bed of roses, or it may be a thicket of thorns. But I do know who will hold me next year. I know that He will not only hold me, He will mold me. Whatever He sends He will send with the express purpose of getting me to believe more and more what I am here affirming. I know likewise that whatever he puts on my plate, or under my tree, it will be just right, and cause for great thanksgiving. And so in the end we want nothing.
Excerpt from Denise’s book, Tending Your Garden
The world has lost a beautiful saint. The passing of Denise Sproul is a loss that we will feel as we continue on our journey in seeking to be virtuous women. Those of us who strive to love our husbands, teach our children, and be gentle spirits in this power crazed world need godly examples, and Denise was one of those. I had the pleasure of meeting her on several occasions and was endeared by her calm and generous spirit, even in the face of trials. Please lift up the Sproul family as they grieve the passing of their dear mother and wife.
Read the beautiful words of Doug Phillips in his tribute to her life and faith. And give hugs all around as you praise God for his incredible blessings of family and friends!
