I’m trying to get a bit more organized around my home. Hmmm. That’s a nice sound after moving, traveling, and all the work that entailed this summer! And that organization includes this blog. So here’s my shot at a bit of planning…..
Family Traditions will be my theme this fall/winter season. A friend from church was interested in our family’s traditions and suggested I share them here (thanks Carrie!). That should be fun because traditions abound in our home! Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, birthdays, “birth” days, anniversaries, Easter, pizza movie nights, Sundays, and more!
Entrepreneurship is another topic wandering around in my head these days.
I enjoyed watching all the entrepreneurs at the War Eagle Fair last month! What an amazing amount of talent, creativity, and courage it takes to step out on their own and share their products. And fair attendees encouraged my own children’s creativity and talent as they visited their booths.
I hope to pass on that encouragement to each of you to learn more about entrepreneurship. Without really giving it a label, it is something I have challenged my family to partake in for years! In my post, Breaking The Mold For Raising Responsible Adults, I shared examples of what my adult children are doing with their individual talents. I’ll further that thought by including pictures and examples of what the rest of our children are doing with their time and talents.
So stay in touch as we travel together in “living above the noise and for the glory of God”!

How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it will be well with you. Psalm 128:1-2
