Well, I’m back to writing….blogging….maybe actually living in my own home and weeding my own gardens.
From my blog silence, it’s easy to see I’ve taken a long break, but it wasn’t a break at all. I’ve actually been traveling and away from home for over 4 months out of the last seven! There were trips to help out after the birth of babies, doing a total remodel on a flip-house out of state, a ski trip, traveling to visit my son after surgery, and a week spent caring for my very aging parents. Yep, that adds up to 1/3 of a year!
This Life…..
One thing I realize more and more – this life is not our own! I know that’s a ‘duh’, but sometimes (oftentimes) we have thick skulls. Our lives are God’s to use for His glory and service. Sometimes that means being at home with littles and sometimes it’s traveling and caring for others. But always we need to be mindful of what is truly necessary, what is truly for God and others. I’ll share more on that in my next post on works.
But for now, I’m back. Back home. Back to filling in the blanks of my raw ideas in the “Add New Post” section of WordPress.
And I’m all up for filling in the blanks in my life:
- New homeschool life to add to our day.
- Renewing marriage vows and commitment.
- Tying stronger bonds with my children, those in the home and out.
- Sifting through my stuff – whether it’s physical clutter, mental lists, spiritual confusion, relational realities….
Ah….like Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz, “There’s no place like home!”
Glad to be back!
Profound words that reach into the core of my being!
I wanna open up my heart
But you know, sometimes it’s hard to find
Because I’ve buried it beneath the selfishness
That I’ve hidden behind
I wanna stand my ground unshaken
But I wanna tremble when I kneel
And let my song remain unbroken
Through the tearsSo let me sing for the love
Let me love for the lost
Let me lose all I have
For what I found on the cross
Let me trust you with my life
Let me live to give you praise
Lord, let me praise you
For the grace by which I’m saved
