Well, here I am, after two hectic weeks of:
> camping (well, the cushy kind of camping that comes with the luxury of a travel trailer!)
> visiting with old friends at a home-school conference
> spending a week with my arm in a sling (bursitis – yep, I’m getting old!)
> traveling to Arkansas to visit our adult children
> a day at Silver Dollar City with all of our children and grand-children (very fun!)
> and last but not least – finding a prospective property to start our marriage/cabin ministry!
Whew! No wonder you all haven’t heard from me for awhile!
But God does have a way of altering our course in life. As I walked on our potential property soaking up the creek, the trees in bloom, and the sounds of spring, I had to wonder why He would give us this change of course in such a surprising way, when our family friends are finding that their wife/mother is not being cured of her cancer, no matter what treatment they try. I have to wonder when it will be my time to have my course altered in such a painful and sad way?
But for now, after such whirlwind weeks, I am just hanging on for the ride! Only God knows just what He’s up to in our lives. And after spending so many years trying to manage and manipulate my life and my family’s (and often thinking I could sway God’s hand), I’m so ready to step out of the boat, and like Peter, watch how He lifts us up over the waves to wherever He desires us to go!
And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:29-31

How thrilling to see God’s hand at work! Is the potential property in Arkansas near “the kids”? Praying for you!
